Ending of Marks Gospel

Is the ending of Mark’s Gospel (16:9-20) original to the Gospel or is it a later addition? Most modern translations rely upon two ancient manuscripts that omit these verses. But is that all the evidence there is? Is it possible that Mark wrote these final verses?
