Are All NT Books the Same Authority?

Should Christians still use the distinction between the undisputed books (Homolegumena) and the disputed books (Antilegomena) books of the New Testament? What did it mean that a book was “disputed” in the early church? Can we use a disputed book for doctrine, and most importantly, do the disputed books say the same thing as the undisputed books?
