Age of Lutheran Orthodoxy

What is the Lutheran Age of Orthodoxy? When was it? What was it all about and who wrote during that time? Today Pastor talks about this period of history and makes a few recommendations for folks who want to read more from these Lutheran Fathers.

Note: Pastor forgot to include one item about Paul Gerardt, the hymn writer. The best english translations of Gerhardt’s hymns are in The Lutheran Hymnal of 1941. The newer translations cut and paste different verses together and make for a mishmash that does a great disservice to Gerhardt’s ability (I’m looking at you, Lutheran Service Book!).
